What's the deal with my tv?! (Part Two)

Image
Back in 2013, I wrote Part One of what will now be a series. Why? Because I love my stories, and I have a real knack for picking shows that are cancelled too soon. :) In fact, before you read any further, please go back and check out Part One ! Why? Because all the shows are worth watching, if you can find them streaming. The Village reminded me of A Million Little Things meets Rent. I love both This is Us and A Million Little Things, and this show definitely gave me the same feels. It's about a hodge-podge group of people who live in the same apartment building and form an unlikely, motley crew of a family. The final episode left me with so many questions and so much hope for a renewal.  I was honestly shocked that this show didn't do as well as the other two shows I mentioned. If you didn't see this one, you totally missed out. There were only 10 episodes. Sadly, I don't see that it is streaming anywhere. Whiskey Cavalier was one I was sure I wo

From the office of...

ME! Last fall, Jordan and I worked really hard to clean out our guest room and turn it into an office space. I haven't made much use of it until this week, and it feels like such a special room! I've been answering work emails from home since Tuesday, and I must say, I love working from home. Despite two bouts of almost-anxiety, I'm doing pretty well...which is saying something if you know me! I'm currently waiting on a conference call, and I'm eager to "be" together with all my co-workers for a bit. I'm still trying to feel out what blogging looks like for me at this time. I still want to share some fun things (like our Disney trip from February and my latest clutch from Can't Clutch This), but I'm also using this as a journal of sorts. *shrugs* I don't even think anyone is reading...but that's ok. That was never the point on MySpace, and it's not the point now. Happy Friday, friends. Love, Jessica

Now.

Now seems like as good a time as any to come back to my trusty blog. Honestly, I've been wanting to start writing and posting content again - even if for nobody but myself. Reminder: When this started in 2012, I was sure I'd be a famous blogger doing this as my job by now. There's just so much more to it than I ever could have realized! I think not being "successful" at it has made me just not try. However, I look back at my 400+ blog posts from MySpace and remember fondly the outlet that it was for me. I'm hoping it can be that again! How are you right now? Are you staying in? Are you still having to go in to work?  We are currently at home - Jordan working full time; me answering emails/calls as they come. I'm also catching up on laundry and other household chores. I've made a to do list that may be longer than this time at home, but I'm hopeful! Cling to this truth, friend, no matter your state - God will never leave us or forsake us. Th
